The Process Of Converting Your Loft

Converting your loft is a very straight forward process with the right people. There is so much space that you can take advantage of with a loft conversion, the works generally only take around six weeks making it the ideal way to extend your home.

You can see the steps we take below, Don't have an architect? No problem, Fox Conversions can take care of the planning process if required and building regulations. Throughout the process we will answer any questions and keep things on track until work starts.

Arranging a home visit

Using our contact form or by calling 0800 848 8211 you can arrange a visit. Evening and weekend visits are available.

We can discuss the specification for the project, we can even produce a basic layout plan of the loft room layout if you don’t already have a set of drawings.

This will help you understand the room layout and the size of the room. If you don't have drawings, we can provide these for you

Planning & design 

In the planning and design phase we can arrange a start date and look at any potential party wall agreements and arrange for planning or permitted developments applications.

We provide payment plans upon request. We provide a building contract for all of our work to ensure are available with all our loft conversions. Building contracts can be set out to ensure that both parties follow set guidelines from the start. We do not require a deposit before commencing the work. We do invoice in stages when work has been completed.

Works starts

Every project is different and every client is important. Fox Conversions will be responsible for the work which is not subcontracted to a third party. 

Every client is important to us and you will be assigned a dedicated contact person who will be in charge of the project from start to finish. 

Once we start a job we will be there until project completion. 

Completion

Upon completion we ensure that all materials, skips, scaffolding and rubbish has been removed from your site.

Once work is complete, any electrical / gas safe certificates are sent to the local authority so the project can be signed off by the local authority. 

Final payments are due upon completion of the job. Once payment has been received you will be send your completion certificates.
